The ESPN Body Issue was first released back in 2009 and it has turned into an annual thing that has gone strong ever since.

This year’s issue will be the 10th edition of the magazine and ESPN kicked off the week by dropping a sneak peek at some of the covers and photos of all 16 athletes included in this year’s copy.

The 2018 edition of the magazine will hit newsstands by the end of this week and features upcoming stars, current stars, and former stars.

Minnesota Timberwolves centre Karl-Anthony Towns is the lone NBA player featured in this year’s edition of the magazine but he isn’t the only basketball player as he’s joined by Seattle Storm point guard Sue Bird and Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart.

This year’s magazine will include a couple of firsts as it will include its very first WWE star. Representing the wrestling world in the magazine will be Charlotte Flair, daughter of wrestling legend Ric Flair.

#Body10 will hit newsstands June 29th // If you would’ve asked me almost six years ago that I would be wearing a robe and one of the athletes in the @espn #Body10 #BodyIssue I would have said no way! I’ve always enjoyed this issue the most because I admired and looked up to the athletes who were sending the message “strong is sexy.” The women in the @WWE have fought tirelessly for years now to be considered more than just “eye candy,” more than just an “attraction,” but for opportunities to show the world we are athletes and show stealers just like the men anywhere. I’m on a mission and one of my bucket list goals was to have the opportunity to be in this issue so it’s one part pinch me moment and second part another reason why the women’s evolution is continuing to make an impact on all fronts around the world. Being able to feel strong, sexy and comfortable in my own skin is empowering and I hope this helps others to feel the same 👊🏻 #espn #espnbodyissue #thebodyissue #espnw #sports Photo credit: @nicklaham @espnw Nutrition: @jasonphillips_in3 Trainer: @hardnockssouth

The other first for the magazine is the fact that the sprinting world will be represented in this year’s issue by 2016 Olympic gold medalist Tori Bowie.

For the second straight season the magazine will include a softball player as USSSA Pride’s Lauren Chamberlain will appear in the magazine and on one of the covers.

“It is badass to hit a home run. Physically, it doesn't feel like anything. If you play softball or baseball, you understand what I mean. When you hit the ball well, when you make contact, you don't feel anything. But you feel something rounding those bases. I feel like a pure badass when I hit a home run. Hitting a home run takes everything working at one time. Your mechanics have to be on point, and your timing and mindset have to be on point. You're figuring out what pitch she's going to throw, you're on time with the ball and your body is responding in line with your mind. It's beautiful, and it's a pretty crazy thing if you think about it.” @espn #ESPNBody #Body10 📸: @hanaasano Hair: @londonschair Makeup: @raevynallen

Major League Baseball will have two representatives in this year’s edition as Houston Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig are both in it.

2018 Olympic gold medalist Jessie Diggins will be the fifth skier to be featured in the magazine as she hits the slopes for a very cold photo shoot.

The NHL will not be represented in this year’s edition of the magazine but there will be one athlete who makes a living on the ice in it as 2018 Olympic bronze medalist Adam Rippon is one of the 16 athletes who made the cut.
