Oilers defence man Ethan Bear has come out about recent racist messages he has been receiving on social media. This sad act being committed needs to be removed from society and Bear spoke about it in a video released by the Oilers.
Oilers GM Ken Holland also added how much he supports Bear and the respect he has for him as a person.
Bear wore a jersey with his Indigenous last name earlier in the season also makes an impact with his community hosting a hockey camp in the Ochapowace First Nation where he is from.
He also got support from former a NHLer who is also Indigenous, Jordin TooToo
