There's truly nothing like some pre-game action to get the lads fired up before a game!

Prior to the Washington Capitals match up against the Pittsburgh Penguins Tuesday evening, the pettiness we thrive for completely unravelled as Evgeny Kuznetsov noticed Evgeni Malkin shooting down towards the Capital’s net before taking matters into his own hands.

Shooting pucks down into the opposite team’s end? Prior to puck drop? In this economy? No chance here.

So what did Kuznetsov do next? He took the net off and spun it around, not allowing Malkin to continue shooting his pucks into the Cap’s net.

WE LOVE THE PETTINESS!

Fans of course were wondering where the video footage was! If pettiness is going to happen, it needs to be caught in 4K!

So thank goodness for the Capitals account for feeding our content-loving souls with a video of the moment captured on camera.

Just look at Kuzy’s smirk as he skates off the ice! We love it!

The pettiness from both sides is absolutely amazing, sign us up for more of it, please!

And given their past, we’re sure that’s just the beginning of the pettiness as the two pair off again Wednesday night to finish off their back-to-back two-game series.
