It’s safe to say the Los Angeles Lakers have not been meshing quite as well as they were hoping they would be this year. With a lot of new faces wearing the purple and gold, and an unrivaled amount of, um, experience, the expectations were pretty high in Laker Land.

It has not gone as planned. There are a number of reasons why it hasn’t gone as planned, but there’s no doubt who is taking most of the blame; newcomer Russell Westbrook.

While Westbrook has always been a volume shooter, his style of play isn’t flying amongst the Lakers fan base. “Trade Westbrook” has appeared in Twitter’s trending section multiple times, but one fan’s plea from this weekend was particularly noteworthy.

He wrote a whole dang rap song about Westbrook’s struggles and then slid it into Brodie’s Instagram DMs.

After going viral for his Westbrook rap, the creator – who’s Instagram handle is @enigma.j7 – wrote one for the entire Lakers team.

Maybe it’s a step too far to slide negativity into Westbrook and the Lakers DMs, but we can’t help but laugh at some of the content. Maybe if the Lakers can turn it around, @enigma.j7 can slide some positivity in there as well.
