What’s your favourite baseball diamond in the MLB? Wrigley Field? Fenway Park? Yankees Stadium? Dodger Park?

There are all sorts of arguments to be made over which ball park deserves the title of “MLB’s best,” but it’s only a one-horse race “MLB’s worst” ballpark.

Ladies and gentlemen, Tropicana Field!

Tropicana Field – home of the Tampa Bay Rays – is the unanimous selection for MLB’s worst ballpark. Not only is it not an open air stadium (despite being in Florida?), but it also utilizes turf instead of real grass. On top of all that, it has a white roof in which players often lose routine fly balls based on, you know, baseballs being white.

On Thursday, one pop-up disappeared into the roof, except this one didn’t re-appear. A pop-up off the bat of Randy Arozarena flew up towards the catwalk and never came back down.

The moment, understandably, had fans once again calling for the destruction of the infamous ballpark.

Fans weren’t the only ones unhappy with the stadium’s design antics. DJ LeMahieu called catching the final out of the game an “adventure.”

Is it finally time to pull the plug on that God forsaken ballpark?
