Erik Karlsson isn't the only big-name defenceman and captain involved in trade rumours.  The New York Rangers have lost seven straight games and they're clearly heading in a different direction as they deal Rick Nash on Sunday.

Based on the rumours, there are still more moves to come, one of which could involve Ryan McDonagh.

The 28-year-old has one year left on his contract and a team that trades for him would probably have to give up a few key assets, but McDonagh is a stay-at-home defenceman that could push a Cup-contending team over the top.

With rumours swirling, McDonagh did something that caught the attention of fans and it had to do with one of his social media accounts.

That's right hockey fans, if you're looking for McDonagh on Twitter, you're out of luck because he deleted his account and fans immediately took notice.

Fans overreact to little things like this all the time, but the overreactions are even bigger on deadline day.  There's a logical explanation as to why McDonagh deleted his Twitter account, but fans aren't having any of it.

It's a tough time of year for every player and it's a lot easier to get through this time by staying off of social media.
