What on earth just happened?
Arguably the most hyped fight in UFC history absolutely delivered, as defending champion Khabib Nurmagomedov took down the almighty Conor McGregor in four rounds. Khabib dominated throughout, keeping Mcgregor on the floor and delivering a few vicious punches, but the craziest moment of all came after he was named winner by submission. Following the tap, Khabib actually hopped over the octagon cage and attacked a member on McGregor’s team.
Fans precitably were stunned and took to the internet to express their emotions.
And of course, some NHLers chimed in as well.
Who knows how the UFC will handle this, but it’s safe to say this will go down as one of the most memorable moments in the sport’s history.
