Week 1 is in the bag, and fantasy football owners are finding out what their drafted teams are really made of. Some are dropping a healthy dose of “I told ya so” in their group chats, while others are licking their wounds and wondering what the heck happened.
For owners of New Orleans Saints star wide out Michael Thomas, they now know exactly what happened. After a two catch, 17-yard performance, reports came out that Thomas was dealing with a high-ankle sprain. On Tuesday, news got even worse.
Not what owners were hoping to hear, especially since they probably spent their 1st round pick on the guy in redraft leagues. Almost undoubtedly the 1st WR off the board, news of his injury left a wake of reaction that spanned from comical to utter devastation.
