If we’ve realized anything in the past couple of months, it’s to appreciate the everyday heroes that we used to take for granted.
We’ve truly realized the importance and value of essential frontline workers through the COVID-19 pandemic. From grocery store clerks, to gas station attendants, to everything in between, we’ve truly learned how important these roles are.
One group in particular that’s been especially vital and heroic through all of this has been healthcare workers.
Though conditions are dire, countless lives have been saved as a result of the heroics of healthcare heroes, and this goalie has decided to honour their work and sacrifices with his new goalie mask.
Finnish goalie Ville Kolppanen, who plays for Rögle BK of the Swedish Hockey League, got his mask painted by Teemu Sipilä of Teme Designs to honour healthcare workers, and the result is gorgeous.
