The Colorado Avalanche selected winger Linus Videll in the seventh round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft but he never ended up playing a game for the organization, or in North America for that matter.

The 33-year-old has spent the most part of the last nine years in the KHL and is currently a member of Riga Dynamo. In his team’s most recent game, Videll hammered home his fifth goal of the season and it was so powerful it ended up going right through the net.

Good thing the referee was planted right beside the net because he made no mistake calling it a good goal almost immediately while the rest of the players on the ice looked on in disbelief.

Videll already has five goals and five assists for 10 points in eight games after scoring just eight goals and 28 points in 46 games.
