Things got heated a few times between the Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat on Tuesday night with the biggest altercation of the night taking place between Serge Ibaka and James Johnson in the third quarter.

On Wednesday afternoon, the NBA stepped in and handed out one-game suspensions to both players.
 

Shortly after the news went public, the former Toronto Raptor apologized to his teammates, coaching staff, the NBA community and the fans for how he handled himself on the court in Tuesday night’s victory.
 

Johnson will miss the Heat’s game in Indiana on Wednesday night for his role in Tuesday’s altercation, while Ibaka will miss Toronto’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
