Friday night, the Raptors have a chance to set a franchise record for best start to a season with a win over the Mavericks.  Through the first 5 games of the 2018/19 campaign, a number of players that aren't stars have contributed in a big way and one of those players is Fred VanVleet.

The 24-year-old has been spectacular off the bench so far this season and although he's not playing against the Mavericks (one of three players ruled out prior to tipoff), he was out for warmups and was rocking a unique pair of shoes.

The pair of shoes VanVleet is rocking are the Nike Kobe 1 Protro DeMar DeRozan PE.

It's interesting that he's rocking his former teammate's shoes as VanVleet has been known to wear Adidas shoes in the past, but so far this season, it looks like he's made the switch over to Nike.

VanVleet shouldn't miss too much time (sprained left big toe) and now that we've seen him rocking DeMar's shoes in warmups, we're excited to see if he'll rock them for his next game.
