Last week we stated that nothing gets hockey fans going quite like a goalie fight, a point we stand by. However, watching a goalie score a goal is a very close second.

The Florida Everblades and the Atlanta Gladiators faced-off on Friday night in an ECHL match-up. Trailing 4-3 late in the third period, the Gladiators pulled their goalie. After Atlanta chipped the puck into Florida's zone, Everblades netminder and Carolina Hurricanes prospect Alex Nedeljkovic intercepted it and quickly fired it towards the empty goal at the other side of the rink, landing himself on the list of goalies credited with a goal.

As much as we were impressed with Nedeljkovic's goal, apparently the announcer wasn't quite as impressed. That or he was in such a state of shock that he forgot to be excited.
