Just like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Bill Goldberg has just about done it all.

Before entering the wrestling world, Goldberg was a professional football player. Over the years, he’s also worked as a colour commentator, has appeared in movies and on television shows, and even hosted his own show on the DIY Network.

Aside from all of those impressive professions throughout the years, Goldberg is also a father.

Recently, the 50-year-old wrestling legend made an appearance on E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness and shared a great story about the time he showed up to his son’s class with his Universal title.

“I took the Universal title to my son’s class. This will encapsulate my entire experience — let’s be honest, my son thinks I’m a drill sergeant with a heart. My job is not to be his buddy. My job is to a very responsible parent, rearing and raising a very responsible adult.

“But the love and the admiration and the joy that I saw in my son’s eyes as I stood in front of his class with this Universal title, it was like time had stopped. It was the coolest thing ever.”

His son and the kids in the classroom probably got more joy out of Goldberg’s visit to the classroom than he did when he actually won the title a few weeks ago.

His son never got to watch him wrestle since he retired before he was born, but it’s pretty awesome that he’s now getting a chance to see his father do what he’s done best over the years.

“It has been the opportunity to be a super hero to my son,” he said.

“It truly is the greatest gift I could have been given. Any father would understand that. It’s worth everything and anything to me.”

Goldberg will go toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 in what will most likely be his final time in the ring as a professional wrestler.
