Atlanta Braves pitcher Bryse Wilson made his major league debut on Monday night in Pittsburgh and while it was certainly one to remember from the mound, it was one to forget from the plate.

The 20-year-old went five strong innings in his debut and allowed just three hits and struck out five to earn his first career victory. Wilson ended up getting two plate appearances in the game and nearly got his first career hit, only he was thrown out at first base from right field on what should have been an easy stand-up single.

This was a hit ... until it wasn't. 👀

The Durham, North Carolina native probably assumed he was good to go for a single once the ball sailed into the outfield, but Gregory Polanco took away his single by hurling a super impressive 97mph throw from his spot in right field.

At least he still got the W in his MLB debut.
