Leading up to the start of the 2018-19 AHL season, the Grand Rapids Griffins hosted a contest that allowed fans to enter jersey designs for a chance at seeing their artwork come to life during a game this season.
Well, that time will come on Saturday night as the Griffins will rock the specialty jerseys designed by Matthew Harvey when they host the Milwaukee Admirals.
Harvey, a Ogden, Utah native, went with a ‘Dark Knight’ themed jersey that caught the eye of the judges over the other 60 entries and it already seems to be a hit among the Griffins fans based on their reactions to the jersey.
Who knows, maybe the Griffins will consider adding this jersey to their lineup after all the positive feedback it’s been getting since the unveiling.
