Under normal circumstances, mascots generally don't speak. Usually, they let their actions speak for them, and in the case of Gritty, we're never quite sure what shenanigans the big furry fellow will get up to.
But as we all know, Gritty isn't just another mascot and norm does he follow the norms of other mascots.
You see, Gritty makes his own rules and essentially does what he wants, whenever he wants.
The Philadelphia Flyers mascot sat down with Entertainment Weekley and was asked on his rise to superstardom, how he's handled the fame and what he has planned for the new year.
Do you remember when he "broke the internet" with his remake of Kim Kardashian's photo?
Well, when asked if he's heading for a "Kanye-like meltdown," the tall, dark burnt orange and handsome" creature called out the rapper and let it be known he's shooting his shot for Mrs. Kardashian-West.
"I’m predicting an Elon Musk-level ascension. All the way to the freaking MOON! Also, ATTN KIM K: if Kanye really did melt and you need a shoulder to cry on, I’ve been told this fur works wonders to heal the soul."
Boom, shooters gotta shoot.
