Everyone’s favourite mascot Gritty has had quite the week so far and he’s only adding to it with each passing day.

The Philadelphia Flyers hosted the New York Rangers in preseason action on Thursday night, which meant the NHL’s newest mascot got a shot to redeem himself for all of his wipe outs in his NHL debut. Gritty showed early on that his balance has already improved since his debut and also showed that he still plans on turning on the Flyers employees, regardless of their position.

Teams around the NHL always hold races like this one as an in-game stunt, but most of the time the contestants only have to worry about their opponents and not the team’s mascot interfering with them. You might remember the other stunt Gritty pulled in his debut, where he turned on Flyers employees during the T-shirt toss and stared firing merchandise at them with the T-shirt gun.

Don’t ever change, Gritty.
