Henrik Sedin was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks nearly 20 years ago and he’s gone on to spend more time in a Canucks jersey than anyone else in the history of the franchise.

The 37-year-old has done a lot for the Canucks on the ice throughout his 17-year career, but he’s made an even bigger impact off of it.

The Canucks recently wrapped up a four-game road trip and are making a quick stop at home for a tilt with the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. Following the team’s morning skate, the Canucks’ captain made a trip over to a local elementary school where he surprised a bunch of students.

Henrik read some stories to the children during his visit, and even joined them in some floor hockey action.

Nothing like getting a couple of lessons at school from the Canucks’ all-time leader in games played, assists and points.
