Another US Election has come and gone and while you can’t please everyone at once when it comes to politics, one person who was in the running actually might have been able to please everyone if he had won. That person is Pittsburgh Penguins winger Phil Kessel.

It all started in November when Penguins defenceman Kris Letang took to his Instagram account in hopes of raising awareness for his buddy, Phil.

Everyone's vote is important!!!! Make sure you vote .... mine goes to the legend @phil_kessel_81_

It turns out that people actually listened to Letang. According to Jonathan Bombulie of Trib Live, Kessel received a bunch of votes in the Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.

"On Nov. 8, in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties, 53 people went to the polls and voted for Pittsburgh Penguins winger Phil Kessel for president, according to results compiled by the counties' elections offices.

Actually, 49 people voted for Phil Kessel. Two others inserted his middle initial — J. — for a more formal presentation, and another two misspelled his last name."

It’s too bad that more people didn’t know that others were writing his name on the ballet because Kessel certainly would have received a lot more votes if that was the case. Phil Kessel is a good guy, he tries hard, and  he loves the game, and he definitely would have made an excellent President.
