The Washington Capitals' Stanley Cup party will continue all summer long and it won't really end until their home opener next season when they raise their first Cup banner to the rafters.
That home opener is a special game for everyone in the building that night, including the other team and on Wednesday we found out that other team will be the Boston Bruins.
There's no doubt that game will be a good one, but fans were quick to point out there would have been a much better choice for who the Caps' home-opening opponent should be. The Penguins would have been the perfect team to raise the banner against, but they won't get that chance. They will however, face the Penguins the following night. (H/T: Washington Capitals)
