Cole Caufield’s highly-anticipated debut has finally arrived, and Montreal Canadiens fans are very excited. The talented American has endeared himself to Habs fans with his skill set, but also with his infectious personality.

He’s a very likeable guy, and he carries himself with a bit of swagger as well. Maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise that he decided to take the ice for his obligatory debut solo lap with no lid on his head.

Going no bucket is regarded in the hockey world as a real beauty move. It’s not quite as safe, of course, so some hockey fans frown on it, believing players shouldn’t take any unnecessary risks. As Caufield took the ice for a solo lap, however, people seemed to really be digging it.

After all, it’s much harder to hurt yourself when you’re the only one out there.
