The Carolina Hurricanes started busting out creative post-game celebrations, known as the ‘Storm Surge’, after picking up victories on their home ice and their fan base has been all for them. It all starts off with a player leading the way with a Viking clap, and he’s quickly joined by the rest of his teammates and the fans in attendance. From there they build it up and cap things off with some sort of creative celebration.

On Friday night, the Hurricanes doubled up the Columbus Blue Jackets for their third straight victory and they busted out one of their best Storm Surges of the season.

Friday night’s Storm Surge was led by Brock McGinn, who finished things off by laying down the hammer, and he got full approval from Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon, who thought it was the best one of the season.

The win was the Hurricanes’ 11th home victory of the year, so there are a few good options to choose from. Here’s a few they’ve rocked after other victories.
