Just about everyone in the hockey world counted out the Carolina Hurricanes before the season started, but the biggest bunch of jerks in the NHL proved that hard work pays off as they managed to clinch a playoff spot for the first time in a decade.

Although the Hurricanes have managed to keep both games of their first round series with the Washington Capitals close, they find themselves down 2-0 in the series heading back home to Carolina for games three and four. Since they had the earliest start of the day on Saturday, the Hurricanes returned home at a decent time and found a bunch of their fans waiting for them to welcome them home.

The Hurricanes might find themselves trailing the series by two games, but their fans want them to know they haven’t given up on them just yet and know there’s plenty of hockey left to be played before someone’s season is officially over.

Game 3 goes down Monday night.
