Ilya Bryzgalov always provided fantastic quotes during his time in the NHL, but some of his best ones came when he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers when the team was spotlighted in HBO’s '24/7' series.

Although he hasn’t suited up for an NHL club since the 2014-15 season during his second stint with the Anaheim Ducks, the 37-year-old has reached out to a few teams online about being ready for a comeback. On Wednesday night he was at it again as he reached out the Flyers following the Penguins’ 5th goal of the game.

Bryzgalov faces a lot of criticism from the Flyers faithful when he took a step back in his second season with the team, so he wasn’t afraid to take a jab at the team’s current goalie, Brian Elliott, after he allowed his fifth goal on 19 shots in the team’s opening game of the playoffs. Especially since the Flyers haven't been able to find a solid No. 1 goalie since his departure.

As you can probably imagine, his followers loved it.

Bryzgalov has been getting paid by the Flyers since they bought out the remaining seven years of his contract in 2013 and will receive $1,642,857 each year from the Flyers until the 2026-27 season.
