Ilya Kovalchuk made his return to the NHL this season and the Kings paid him a handsome amount of money to come back to North America.  The 35-year-old signed a three-year deal worth over $18 million, not bad for someone who left the league in 2013.

Before his stint with the Kings this season, Kovalchuk was with the New Jersey Devils and now, according to the New York Post, he's looking to get another pay-day in that city by selling his custom-built dream mansion.

As per the New York Post, Kovalchuk is looking for $17.99 million for his 22,000 square foot mansion that has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a banquet size dining room, a chef's kitchen, basement with a lounge, theatre, bar, plunge pool, and massage room.

Kovalchuk's name has also been tossed around in trade rumours ahead of the deadline, so he'll also be dealing with the possibility of that, too, until the deadline passes on Monday.
