For the first time since 1987, the Winnipeg Jets organization have won a playoff series. Before you give us snark, it’s the first time in the Winnipeg Jets 2.0 history that the team has won a round in the post-season.

Jacob Trouba, Bryan Little, Brandon Tanev and Joel Armia scored within the first 11:59 of the first period, while Mark Scheifele added their fifth marker 32 seconds in the third period, as the team cruised to a 5-0 win over the Minnesota Wild to take the best-of-seven series 4-1.

Connor Hellebuyck notched 30 saves in the series-clinching victory with 30 saves, and became the first goaltender since Matt Murray did a year ago to win back-to-back shutouts. The Jets outscored the Wild 12-3 in games played inside the Bell MTS Centre in this series.

The Jets will face the winner of the Nashville and Colorado series, potentially setting up a very intense Western Conference Semi-Finals between the two Central division rivals. The Jets have never been past the second round in franchise history.
