The Montreal Canadiens kicked off their season on Wednesday night without their star goaltender Carey Price.

Jake Allen took the net for the Habs to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first game of the year. Allen stopped 28 shots but it just wasn't enough for the W as the Leafs took this one 2-1.

Following the loss, Allen was asked if he knew if Price was watching last night and his answer warmed our hearts.

The team announced last week that Price has voluntarily entered the NHL’s player assistance program for an unspecified reason.

Wishing you all the best in your recovery, Price!
