Jake Gardiner has never played for another NHL team other than the Maple Leafs, but that could change this summer.  Gardiner will be an unrestricted free agent come July 1st and that could spell the end of his time in Toronto.

Thursday, the Leafs cleaned out their lockers after another first round exit at the hands of the Bruins and Gardiner was open and honest about potentially not being back with the Leafs next season.

Gardiner has been with the Leafs since the 2011/12 season.  He's been in Toronto for the bad times and the incredible turnaround the team has made in the years since.

Regardless of what you think of him as a player, Gardiner left it all out on the ice for the Leafs and he's loved by his teammates.
