The Toronto Raptors made a lot of noise this past offseason when they fired head coach Dwane Casey and traded DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Pöltl to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, but the moves have paid off so far through their first 22 games.

Heading into Thursday night’s tilt with the Golden State Warriors (15-7), the Raptors own a league-best 18-4 record and many people across the league are looking at it as a preview of this season’s NBA Finals. On Thursday morning, former NBA player Jalen Rose explained why the Raptors are the best team in basketball right now and it’s not exactly because of their offseason moves.

The former Toronto Raptor gave a lot of credit to the team having a good group of athletic players, and especially showed forward Pascal Siakam a lot of love, considering he's playing on another level right now as he’s gone from averaging 7.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game to 14.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
