Should the Toronto Raptors retire Kawhi Leonard's number?  That question came up multiple times during the playoffs as a hypothetical, with the caveat being if the Raptors were to win a championship.

Well, it happened for the first time in franchise history thanks in LARGE part to Leonard's contributions (he was named Finals MVP) and that question of whether they should retire his number remains up for debate.  If you're asking one Jalen Rose, however, there is no need for debate because the answer is clear.

"If I was a member of the Toronto Raptors, here's what I would do. We've seen guys get video tributes that were questionable.  The boss move?  Retire his number that day.  I would retire his number that day.  That's what should happen."

The Raptors have not retired ANY numbers in the franchise's 25 years of existence, so to make Kawhi the first when he only spent one season in Toronto would be a BOLD move.

There is a case to be made, though, because he helped deliver a championship, something Raptors fans dreamt about for a long time, but probably didn't think had a chance of becoming a reality.

That first number the Raptors decide to retire is the most important choice they make and there are a number of players deserving of that honour.  Do you think it should be Kawhi?  Let us know your take!
