When it was announced that Taysom Hill would be missing the New Orleans Saints Divisional Round playoff battle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we all thought it was going to be a Drew Brees game. As it turns out, Sean Payton wasn’t about to give up the trickery.

The result: Former Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston and an all-time revenge play.

If you look up the term “gunslinger” in the football dictionary, you may actually find a photo of Jameis Winston attached to the definition. When he was a member of the Bucs, he put up ridiculous numbers in every way, both good and bad.

Given that, maybe it’s not so surprising that he completed the longest New Orleans Saints passing play of the year.

Not bad for a guy that was essentially determined to be the 3rd-string quarterback.

Winston is in an interesting place in his career. He will likely be looking to obtain a starting job next season, whether that’s because Drew Brees decides to retire or another team decides to take him on. This play certainly doesn’t hurt.
