You can't help but feel a little bad for Jameis Winston.

Sure, the 2015 first overall pick was far from perfect during his five year tenure in Tampa Bay, but it's not like he didn't have his bright spots. Jaboo threw a ridiculous 30 interceptions but still managed to tie Lamar Jackson for the league lead in passing touchdowns (33) and led all quarterbacks with 5,109 yards.

But... when a team has an opportunity to snag the GOAT, they usually take it.

Tom Brady's arrival in T-Bay marked the end of the Jameis era with the Bucs but at least the 26-year-old seems to have a pretty strong understanding of why things went down. So much so that he actually gave himself props for getting replaced by the GOAT while spreading the word on the COVID-19 hotline he developed alongside Dr. Scott Kelley on FOX News (good on you, Jameis). Kind of a weird thing to pat yourself on the back for, but okay!

Got to love Jameis!

Winston is now a free agent for the first time in his career and it remains to be seen whether a team will take a chance on him as a starter or not. On one hand, he clearly has the talent to succeed. But on the other... the turnovers.

THE TURNOVERS!!!!

It's nice to see Jameis is at least staying positive throughout the whole thing but hey, if giving yourself props by getting replaced by the GOAT is going to give you confidence and put you in the right state of mind then go ahead!
