In the latest installment of the Cabbie Presents Podcast, Cab is joined by the hilarious and insightful Jay Baruchel.

During the sit down, Baruchel shares stories from the making and creation of Goon, and gives an inside scoop as to how his mom felt when she visited him on set. In one particularly compromising moment when his mom was on set, he recalls his mother looking at him, totally horrified,  scolding him. “That is vile. VILE”, he remembers her saying of his character’s racy personality.

He also talks about life as a die-hard Habs fan, and his admiration for P.K. Subban, who he cals “the best player we drafted in a generation” and “an awesome dude that loved that town, loved wearing that sweater, and in the end, we punished him for it”. He spoke more on his experience as a Canadiens fan, recalling intense rivalries with the Boston Bruins, and how when their visits were the only time he “saw cops at the Bell Centre”, as “there were routinely fights”.

Baruchel is an iconic Canadian, who rocks one of the purest Canuck accents we’ve ever heard.
