Earlier on Wednesday, the Washington Capitals unveiled their jerseys for the upcoming Stadium Series game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Staidum.

The Adidas jerseys pay respect to the U.S. Navy and include a number of intricate elements that resonate with the Caps identity. Fans of the Caps were displeased with the specialty uniforms, citing that the
red on the bottom of the jersey was way too big and the “Caps” stitched just below the chest looked strange, as well as the “W” on the side of the pants.

That prompted the internet to quickly tinker with the design, resulting in a ton of fan submitted concepts.

Twitter user KP8Design made a couple of adjustments to the navy Stadium Series Navy jerseys, and based off the feedback he received on Twitter, Caps fans are wishing the designer had his way with producing the jerseys.

There’s a few differences you’ll notice: First, the white shoulder areas is surrounded by a red line, giving more of an authentic feel to them. There’s an actual red collar featured instead of a bland white on that extends into the shoulder area without separation. That same white line appears around the elbow area and near the bottom of the jerseys around the red bar. The red bottom, which many fans took issue with, is much smaller and looks a lot cleaner. The white also separates the different areas of the jersey, making for an overall sharper design. The special Stadium Series logo is featured as the shoulder patches.
