The Toronto Maple Leafs and William Nylander are getting down to crunch time to come to terms on a contract.

As you may've heard by now, Nylander must be signed by hard December 1st deadline, otherwise, he'll be ineligible to play in the NHL this season.

Nylander's teammates are in the middle of their Californian road trip where they'll face the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night inside the Sharktank, which of course is Patrick Marleau's old stomping grounds.

During Wednesday's off-day, reporters had the chance to catch up with one of Marleau's old linemates, Joe Pavelski, who admitted that keep tabs on his good friend before dropping a comment on the amount of media coverage the Nylander saga receives in Toronto in a pretty hilarious fashion.

"You guys need a few more Nylander articles out there. It's kinda been quiet lately."

Pavelski's is making an earlier case for the Cy Young Trophy this season (yes, we're aware that this is a baseball award) with 10 goals and two assists in 19 games.
