A big reason why the San Jose Sharks are two wins away from advancing to the Stanley Cup Final is the play of their offensive defenceman, Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns.

The two create so many great opportunities for the Sharks' forwards with their ability to move the puck and get the puck on net in a quick and accurate fashion.  Both Karlsson and Burns are second on the Sharks in playoff points with 15 each, and the former Senator leads the team in assists with 13.

After Game 3, Karlsson was asked what he's learned from playing with one of the all-time great playmakers Joe Thornton and Jumbo Joe had an incredible answer.

"Nothing."  Never change Jumbo Joe.  Never change.

In Game 3, both Thornton and Karlsson came up clutch with two goals each (Karlsson scored the OT winner) and they'll need to be at their best in Game 4 if San Jose wants to take a 3-1 series lead.
