One of the coolest things about playoff hockey is seeing fans rally around their team for the postseason and in the process, change the perception of their city in the context of it being a true "hockey city."

When you think of passionate fans and some of the best hockey cities in North America, Columbus probably doesn't come to mind, but their fans are doing everything they can to change that perception.

Tuesday night, the Blue Jackets completed the sweep of the best team in hockey in front of their home fans to advance to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

The victory was monumental on so many levels and during the win, fans got so excited after goals that they spilled beer on head coach John Tortorella.

Knowing Torts' personality, you might think he'd be upset about getting beer poured on him, but he absolutely loved it!

The energy in the arena was absolutely incredible and Torts, as well as his team, feeds off of that energy.  With each goal and cannon blast that followed, the crowd got more and more hyped and we can't wait to see what the building and city are like for the second round.
