Johnny Manziel is a former Heisman Trophy winner. While nothing is guaranteed in the game of football, usually a Heisman is a pretty safe bet that a player will have a shot at a successful NFL career.

As of right now, that still hasn’t really happened for the quarterback known as Johnny Football.

Manziel appeared in 14 total games, all of which came with the Cleveland Browns. His stats were underwhelming, with as many touchdowns in that span as he had interceptions (7), but more than anything it was his polarizing personality that made a lot of football fans cheer against him.

It’s now 2021, and Manziel hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2015. He tried a stint in the CFL, but that also didn’t work out. While he may not be taking the field again anytime soon, one thing has remained exceedingly consistent – Johnny Football isn’t afraid to speak his mind.

After the Cleveland Browns bowed out of their first Playoff appearance since 2002, Manziel shared out a very on-brand antagonizing tweet.

Now before we’re accused of jumping to conclusions, it should be noted that Manziel called out Twitter for just that… jumping to conclusions.

He then thanks Jimmy Haslam, owner of the Cleveland Browns. Maaaaybe he wasn’t referring to the Browns loss, but regardless it didn’t take long for the Browns fan base to come after him.

That’s one way to get a faithful fan base going.
