Johnny “Football” Manziel is one of the most colourful quarterback personalities we’ve ever seen, but not all of it has been a healthy personality. He became known for his tendency to party a little too hard, and his legal troubles with an alleged assault on his former girlfriend (the charges were dismissed after a settlement plea).

Now Manziel is trying to make a comeback in more way then one.

He still aspires to be an NFL quarterback after his first stint in the league came to an end, largely due to off-field problems. He is ready to take part in Spring League action before deciding where his next steps will be, with some believing the CFL is next.

What's the likelihood of Johnny ending up north of the border? 🤔 #ComeBackSZN

The second comeback he’s looking to make is a reparation of his image in general. He’s opened up about his rough times, and his diagnosis of bipolar disorder, but on Wednesday he went a little more in depth with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt about  with just how tough things got for him.

While some think the man they call Johnny Football was just a reckless kid that flubbed his chance at the NFL dream, it is clear that he was actually very sick. If this latest stint of image rehab manages to work out, Manziel still has considerable talent, and a second chance at the NFL isn’t out of the question.
