Jonathan Marchessault ripped the refs for 5-minute major against Vegas in NSFW rant

The Sharks had a comeback for the ages against the Golden Knights Tuesday night in Game 7 and part of the reason for the comeback was a 5-minute power play that seemed to be controversial depending on who you ask.

Crazy comeback with 3 goals by San Jose. Tied game 3-3. Awful sight when Pavelski was hurt, but I That wasn’t a 5 minute major, and certainly not on Eakin. What a finish we are in for.

Video of the Eakin hit showed neither referee raising his arm to signal a penalty.

Incredible. 3-3 game. Hate to see Joe Pavelski get hurt like that but to call a 5 minute major on Eakin was shocking to say the least. Potentially a season changing call.

The person most furious about the call, though, was Jonathan Marchessault who went on a NSFW rant after the game to express his frustration.

Some strong words to say the least from Marchessault who felt like the Golden Knights were robbed of a trip to the second round of the playoffs. It's going to be a long summer for him and his teammates and losses like this one are never easy to get over.
