Traditional double plays are nice, but Jose Altuve is too good for traditional double plays.

Friday night against the Angels, with a runner on first, a weak pop-up was hit to the reigning AL MVP.  Rather than make the easy catch for the second out of the inning, though, Altuve let the ball drop.

You might be asking yourself "Why would he let the ball drop?"  It's a fair question, but the answer is an obvious one when you see what transpired after the ball hit the ground.

Brains and Brawn. #Tuve can do it all.

Now that's how to make a double play!  The quick thinking from Altuve to let the ball drop in order to get both players out was as impressive as the throw to first.

Plays like that can be the different between winning and losing close games and the Astros can't afford to lose game right now as they're just 1.5 games up on the Athletics for first in the AL West.
