Justin Turner captured his first world series in the most unconventional of ways Tuesday night.

The 35-year-old and the Dodgers discovered he had tested positive for COVID-19 but despite the news, the team elected to keep their third baseman in the game until the eighth inning, even after the MLB instructed the team to remove him. After everything cooled down, Turner took to Twitter and responded to the situation, stating that he did not feel any symptoms and expressed his disbelief over not being able to celebrate with his “guys”.

Yeah… so about not being able to celebrate with his “guys”. That wasn’t exactly the case. Turner was seen celebrating with his teammates after the win and even removed his mask during the annual team photo.

And as it turns out, Turner was instructed to not go back on the field. Clearly was not the case.

We can’t imagine what would have happened if a Game 7 was required… Hopefully everyone who was in close contact with Turner ends up being okay.
