We know that you’ve probably heard this before, but the English language is weird.
If you grew up speaking it, then obviously it comes naturally to you, but if you really think about some of the things we’re accustomed to in the language that we don’t think twice about, there’s quite a few that make little to no sense.
If you think about this too hard, it might start to turn your mind into a bit of a pretzel.
Such was the case for Kevin Hayes, who thought a little bit too hard about the intricacies of the English language in the moments that lead up to the Flyers game against the Bruins at Lake Tahoe. Luckily for us, though, the exchange was recorded, and he makes an excellent point.
