The fight mixed martial arts fans have been waiting years for will finally take place later this year when Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov go toe-to-toe inside the octagon at UFC 229 on October 6 in Las Vegas.

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the bout as two of the most dangerous fighters in the industry will battle it out for the UFC lightweight title and the reigning champion wants to make sure his father is in attendance for the fight. On Thursday, the 29-year-old Russian fighter shared a picture of UFC president Dana White posing beside Donald Trump at The White House and asked White to ask the President for a visa for his dad.

@danawhite please ask Donald Trump give my father a visa. #ufc229

Khabib’s father, Abdulmanap, also happens to be his coach, but he’s had a lot of issues getting into the US over the years and hasn’t seen one of his son’s fights on US soil in the six years he’s been in the UFC.

With the event just under two months away and easily the biggest fight of Khabib’s career, he’s hoping his boss will come through for him and get a favour from the President.
