There are just four teams remaining in the KHL playoffs as a spot in the Gagarin Cup is on the line.

In the Western Conference, it’s down to second-ranked SKA Saint Petersburg and fourth-ranked Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. The two teams kicked off their Conference finals series on Thursday, as SKA escaped with a 5-4 victory in overtime.

Lokomotiv has been one of the hottest teams in this year’s KHL playoffs and were causing some real issues in Game 2 on Saturday night. However, with the game locked at 1-1, former NHLer Sergei Plotnikov decided to put his team on his back and went end-to-end to score a beautiful goal.

That incredible goal pretty much deflated Lokomotiv, as it ended up standing as the game-winner in a 4-1 victory.

Lokomotiv now trails 2-0 in the series as they return home for must-win Game 3 on Monday.
