Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and HC Sochi went head-to-head in KHL action on Monday night and it was quite the defensive battle between the two sides. The two teams combined for 74 shots on goal, with Lokomotiv responsible for 52 of those, and hits of all sizes throughout the night.

During one point of the game, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl’s Nikolai Averin made a play to keep the puck in the opponent’s zone and was prepared to take a bump from HC Sochi’s Alexander Akmaldinov but it ended up being a lot more powerful than he expected.
