The All-Star game is a time for players to let loose and put on a show for spectators. With that in mind, HC Sochi forward Pavel Padakin rocked an outfit during the KHL’s speed competition that had players, fans, and coaches laughing hysterically. Padakin prepared on the blue line in a Superman costume that covered the entire top half of his body. He even made sure to include a long red cape on his back.

The dive at the end was too good.

Padakin isn't the only player to have rocked a Superman outfit to an All-Star event. In 2012, Patrick Kane rocked a similar costume for his breakaway challenge.

Padakin has enjoyed an impressive year in Sochi, where he’ tallied 9 goals and 21 assists in 48 goals. He doesn’t exactly look like Clarke Kent (nor does Kane for that matter), but a pair of glasses could have helped his look.

23-year-old surprisingly wasn’t the only star to dress in costume either. Former New York ranger forward Nigel Dawes, who has made a comfortable home for himself playing for Astana Barys, dressed like a kind with a cape that read ‘Hat-Trick King’.

The KHL’s big game has already seen its share of cool moments, and will likely see more when the game is played on January 22.
