Canadian star Kia Nurse could not be stopped on Wednesday afternoon.

The 23-year-old shined with a 24 point outing in an 84-83 comeback win over the Seattle Storm. Nurse combined with a Tina Charles for 50 of the team’s total points, while point guard Brittany Boyd contributed a team-high 10 dimes in the victory. Tanisha Wright was the only other Liberty player to reach double digits in scoring, whereas five different Storm players managed to accomplish the feat.

Nurse’s 24 points marked the 11th time she’s reached double digits in points this season, failing to do so only twice in games against Atlanta (six on June 30) and Las Vegas (eight) on June 4. Her impressive play has prompted TSN’s Kate Beirness and others to spread the word about a potential All-Star appearance. The Hamilton native is nearly doubling her point total from her rookie season with 16.0 PPG.

New York currently sits fourth in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference at 6-7 but are riding a three-game winning streak. You can vote for Nurse by clicking here.
