Already the owner of an Oscar Award thanks to his "Dear Basketball" short film in 2017, Kobe Bryant is going to receive a posthumous Emmy Award as well.

The regional Los Angeles Emmy Awards are set to present Kobe with this year's Los Angeles Area Governors Award, which recognizes "his legacy of philanthropy, community building and inspiration that extended beyond the basketball court."

In 2018, Kobe hosted the Detail show on ESPN, which offered in-depth X-and-O’s analysis of players and games. He also produced the HBO documentary, "Kobe Bryant's Muse."

It’s great to see his legacy will continue to be carried forward, and we’re sure that as time continues to pass, we’re only going to see more and more accolades attached to his name.
